https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simon_RohrichSimon Rohrich is an American inventor and entrepreneur who is the co-founder and Chief Technology Evangelist of Elliptical Mobile Solutions, inventors of micro modular data centers. He defined the specific technology type of his data centers in a 2010 white paper, coining the term micro modular data center (MMDC) and creating the specific technology. This technology has been used by numerous corporations (including AOL and Virgin Galactic) and governmental entities (including China, Vietnam, and the City of Avondale). Ten years later, micro data centers are considered an important technology for improving the performance of hybrid cloud, IoT and CDN networks as well as proving an "infrastructure building block" for large scale facilities and networks. During his 10 years as Co-Founder at Elliptical Mobile Solutions, Simon provided technical leadership designing and improving their products, distributed network and data center concepts. In his role as technology evangelist, Simon produced various models of mobile edge computing (MEC) using their unique micro data center technology. In October 2016, Instant Data Centers purchased Elliptical Mobile Solutions and hired Simon to assist in improving the micro data center product, reduce production costs and update their marketing materials and messaging.In November of 2017, Simon transitioned into a freelance consulting role with Instant Data Centers while searching for new and interesting projects that will utilize his technical and creative abilities.
