In this role, I facilitated and delivered daily instruction to students across Northern Michigan’s largest school district, that was inline with ISTE, Michigan Integrated Technology Competencies, and Common Core State Standards. Learning was enhanced by technology tools from G-Suite applications, leaning management systems (Google Classroom, Bright Space Desire to Learn, Seesaw) and Powerschool course management system. Routine formative assessment tools and adaptive technology platforms (HMH Think Central, Nearpod, MAP Skills Navigator) were utilized in conjunction with explicit instruction principles and “Understanding By Design” unit development. Primary duties included guiding synchronous and asynchronous learning times for traditional and blended classroom environments. In this capacity, regular communication with principals, parents, and students at various schools from across a 300 square mile area, was required. Developed protocols for monitoring and assessing online student engagement levels, self-directed work habits, and opportunities for promoting social-emotional-learning habits in the virtual setting. Extensive knowledge and training in Crisis Prevention, Trauma informed education, RTI, student support programs and techniques.
