I led and developed multiple analytic projects in storage management software. I'm an expert in the entire software development process from initial concept and technical specifications to research and development, design qualification and test, and algorithm validation. Some of my key projects are:► Abnormality detection on workload response time► Automated workload provisioning► Cold data optimization for saving customers' cost and power► Storage resource lifecycle management for auto workload and resource balancing► Trending analysis for advance resource capacity and performance planningAll of my projects must scale well on large customer environments with huge amounts of storage objects and time series data. Over time I've became an expert in diagnosing and resolving scale issues. I learnt to handle scalability early by incorporating it into software design, especially for algorithms and database queries.As a senior engineer, I acted as scrum master for a team of 8 developers, data scientists and QA to follow agile methodologies in multiple projects, and ensure effective communication and collaboration between team members, managers and stakeholders. Every week I identified beneficial technical presentations and organized training for a team of 20+ engineers. I also mentored many junior engineers and interns on NetApp products, storage architecture and their projects.

I researched and implemented the most sophisticated and valuable analytic feature in the BalancePoint product, Performance Index. I performed hundreds of TPCC/H performance benchmark tests on EMC CLARiiON storage array to understand storage system behavior and identify optimal queueing curves. I implemented a queueing network to model application, server and storage in the data center, and then calculate the performance index. It resulted in a simple metric to show how well the server and storage infrastructure was matched to the applications' requirements. It enabled advance IT resource planning and optimization.

I implemented the Activity Query Logging Service to log staff function activities for later review. I developed the logging service archive system to transfer old database records from disk to tape and retrieve from tape upon request.
