I joined Airspan Networks in 2010 in order to penetrate the African market and bring our technology to Africa.After great experiences in Africa in the GSM and satellite domains, the Wireless market is completing my personal background in Telecommunications especially in Africa and giving us a great understanding of the landscape and the market.Our great technology of WiMAX 16e/LTE, our large products portfolio and our understanding of the continent gives us a strong advantage over our competitors.In 3 years, we have activated more than 50 networks around the African continent, from The Gambia to Mauritius, from small ISPs to Tier One ISPs and GSM operators.We enjoy a product on top of the technology with a clear roadmap to the next generations (LTE).Personally, I started with a few countries and quickly expanded our footprint to the rest of Africa to lead today a team of 4 Sales Managers covering the different regions of Africa.In 2011, following our growing business in Africa, I relocated to South Africa to open a representative Office to better serve our customers in Africa and be closer to the region.We are today a technology leader in Africa, with networks deployed in practically every single country in the continent... and still growing.

Working at Gilat Satcom allowed me to see a different aspect of Telecommunications while coming from a GSM background.I got to be familiar with the satellite and backbone environment in Africa and the Middle East mainly, working with the Sales Team on Satellite projects around the globe.Part of my responsibility was to guide the Sales process, starting from Pre-Sales support, Sales process and Project implementation, coordinating all the different divisions in the company in order to achieve the projects and reach the customers expectations.

Guinea

I had the opportunity to be part of this amazing GSM project in Guinea, West Africa.Cellcom started from 0 subscribers and 4 big competitors in place (MTN, Orange...) and became in a few months the second GSM operator in Guinea, even very close to be the first.During this period, I have been part of the "start-up" team, recruiting and training the Sales and CS Team, dealing with the whole distribution chain and cooperating with the Marketing team to increase sales more and more every day.Once the Pre-paid market and the distribution chain in place, the next step was to create business and VAS markets with corporate services (VPN, PABX, Voice & SMS packages...) to corporate customers, SMEs, SOHOs and also open a new era of data market with Edge and GPRS services to all.In order to achieve successfully this project, I had the pleasure to work along a gifted local Sales Team that I recruited and trained to become a very professional unit still taking the company forward to the next challenges.
