I am currently in a job market for facilities management positions, I have a national high certificate in building technology, Project management certicate as well as Facilities Management certificate. I have worked working for the City of Cape Town for the past 7 years as a facility manager. During the seven years have been responsible for various types of facilities, i.e Green point athletic stadium, sports fields, swimming pools, public toilets along the Atlantic seaboard, community hall,etc. I have also managed various teams of workers that were working on these facilities. I also been training on human resource management.My duties and work experience includes the following:-Strategic planning and day to day operations of buildings and promises.-Preparing specification for building maintenance work.-Project management, supervising and coordinating contractors.-Directing, coordinating and planning essential central services such as reception,security, maintenance, cleaning, hygiene,gardening HVAC system, water and power supply plumbing and waste management.-Ensuring the building meets health and safety requirements and facilities comply with relevant regulations.-Checking that agreed work by staff or contractors is completed satisfactory and following up on an deficiencies.-Responding appropriately to emergencies and dealing with issues as they arise.-Maintain and keep furniture and fittings up to date.-Monitoring of all service level agreements.-Provide effective people management and support.
