Nitish headed a 30 membered team of the IEEE IEM Student Branch, which successfully organized two national symposiums, IEEE Technology Awareness Programme 2017 and IEEE Computer Society India Symposium 2018, wherein Nitish was the Event Coordinator. Consequently, IEEE IEM Student Branch was awarded 'The Best Student Branch Award' by the IEEE Kolkata Section in 2018.Nitish held the responsibility of Vice President of In-Steel Toastmaster's Club, Jamshedpur, a community club that runs with support from Tata Steel and aims to escalate the oratory and leadership skills of its members.Nitish steered the membership drive for the club which made the club win the 'President’s Distinguished Club' status, which is the highest recognition awarded by Toastmaster's International.Nitish believes in volunteering for social causes and henceforth he has been associated with two NGOs, 'Make-A-Wish India' which provides happiness to children suffering from critical illnesses, and 'Sanrakshan' which aims at proliferating free education among underprivileged children.
