Project 1: Investigate the role of metal ions towards tau liquid-liquid phase separation.o First demonstration of metal induced liquid-liquid phase separation of intrinsically disordered tau proteino Developed new method for analysis for FRAP of small liquid protein droplets.o Responsible for design, implementation and management of multiple research projects; concurrently supervise and direct the research projects of one graduate student.o Review grant proposals and manuscript submissions. Project 2: Investigate the role of structural polymorphism of tau aggregates in Alzheimer’s disease (AD).o Developed method for purification of tau filaments from brain tissue of AD patients.o Developed and optimized method for Hydrogen/Deuterium exchange and Hydroxyl radical foot printing mass spectrometry of tau and its short variant.
