I am a Climate Policy Professional, with a particular focus on leveraging AI for driving climate action. I currently work at Google where I lead policy and strategy efforts for our products and platforms that leverage AI and geospatial technologies to contribute to climate mitigation, adaptation and protection in India. I am also driving a project focused on galvanizing X-Google efforts to contribute to social impact in global south countries by leveraging AI. Before joining Google, I served as the Adviser to India’s G20 Sherpa at the Ministry of External Affairs during the Indian G20 Presidency and contributed to the Green Development Pact and the landmark inclusion of the African Union into G20. Prior to G20, I served as the Chief of Staff to the CEO of the Prime Minister-led NITI Aayog, which is the Indian government’s apex policy planning institution, tasked with driving inter-ministerial convergence and catalyzing the economic growth of India. During my time at NITI, I contributed to India's COP26 Strategy, helped set up the National Mission for Transformative Mobility (which is driving the EV revolution in India) and coordinated two of India's largest transport decarbonization projects. During this period, I also served as India's representative to the OECD-International Transport Forum (ITF).In the past, I worked as a strategy consultant with KPMG, helping develop the business model for India's first private airport and aerocity. I also worked with the UN in Uzbekistan. An Electrical Engineer with a Renewable Energy specialization, I hold an MPA in International Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science. I am also a Climate Fellow at Yale University (one of the sixteen to have been selected from across the world) as well as a Salzburg Global Fellow.I am deeply passionate about the intersection of technology and policy and believe in a multi-stakeholder approach towards driving tangible, action-oriented outcomes on the climate front. An avid mountaineer and explorer outside of work, I am extremely passionate about public speaking. I am also the founder of a national NGO that works with the youth to tackle substance abuse, sexual abuse and HIV AIDS in India.I love chatting on exciting ideas and knowing what people around me are up to- feel free to drop me a line!
