I started volunteering at a young age and grew up watching nonprofits struggle to continue serving the community, especially during the recession. During an especially hard year, I asked a mentor what they wish they'd known or learned before becoming Executive Director. They told me, "my main regret is not taking any business classes. I've definitely had to learn on the job and that has added a lot more stress on myself and the business than necessary." That conversation jumpstarted my career in nonprofit management.Now with 10+ years of nonprofit experience and an MBA from George Fox University under my belt, I'm fulfilling my childhood dream and am continuing to grow and learn as I go. My skills are in nonprofit management, event logistics, database management, project coordination and general day-to-day operations. I am proficient with most software and programs including: Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, Salesforce, Wordpress and Canva.
