I was tasked to turn around 3 poorly performing estates that provide accommodation to over 600 prisoners. These estates were historically not meeting contractual KPI obligation, low moral and lack of staff to perform maintenance duties, this was achieved within 6 months. The contract is very kinetic and requires a high level of strategic thinking and problem solving. The portfolio experiences a high level of damages and vandalism which requires an effective resolution to ensure a safe and compliant living accommodation. As a Facilities Manager at SERCO I successfully improved a mismanaged team, poorly performing that failed to deliver on asset renewal projects for 2 years. The improvement was implemented by introducing management systems, positive lines of communication, and improving staff culture. During 2021 – 2022 I delivered asset renewal projects in the value of 3.5million. Previous to Serco I worked for MBS where again I grew a small team of engineers to a large multiclient portfolio with a turnover of 1.9million (19.5% profit), working along side some of the largest global companies such as NIKE, LEGO, CONVERSE & BOSE. Prior to 2015 I enjoyed a long career in the Royal Engineers for over 14 years, during this time I deployed on several tours to Afghanistan, Iraq, Cyprus. I have worked in some of the most hostile places in the world carrying out military and construction engineering tasks.
