My responsibilities include:• Management of all engineering activities in and outside the mineEnsure compliance to legislationEnsure budgets are prepered and spent accordinglyEnsure engineering maintenance support mine strategic goalsEnsure that all engineering personnel are developed through individual development plans.Plan and execute Stay in Business (capital) projects that support the business short and long term objectives. Schedule and ensure compliance of all mine legal compliance.Enforce disciplined execution of work through engineering systems.Enforce safe execution of work mine wide through inspections, VFLS and mass meetings.

My responsibilities were:• Manage all engineering activities at the mine, plant and tailings dam• Manage maintenance the budget (3M per month)• Manage the personnel• Manage all contractors• Plan upgrades and designs• Ensure the tailings dams are in accordance with regulations• Implement Anglo’s various safety campaigns in the plant• Mange the power and water consumption• Manage the undertaking of all projects• responsible for maintenance strategies, shutdown maintenance, formulation of working procedures, working instructions, • integration of SHERQ with maintenance, • Ensure the tailings dams are in accordance with regulations.
