System Engineer
CurrentCreate, Maintain, Manage and troubleshoot local and data center infrastructure in LINUX.Interface with remote teams in an effective manner using PUTTY.Ability to write clear and concise documentation (SOP).Experience in administering web-servers like Apache.Experience in Logical Volume Management (LVM) & RAID planning and configuration, Performance monitoring, I/O tuning.Extensive exposure of handling administration, installation and support of client/server hardware, software, peripherals, and networked systems for Linux (RHEL, Scientific Linux) Servers / Windows OS XP/7/8.1.Comfortable with troubleshooting procedures, Problem management, root cause analysis (RCA) & change and Incident management process according to ITIL process.A detailed understanding of protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, FTPS/SFTP) and services (DNS, DHCP, NFS, IPTables, SSL, Firewalls, Load balancers).Maintain overall ownership of users issue & service ensuring resolution within agreed service levels (SLA).Ability to exercise judgment within procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.Sense of urgency and ability to manage and prioritize multiple work requirements to meet deadlines.Maintaining the Bank's Web Servers, Application Servers, Database Servers.Fetching the data from the database to generate the reports.Effectively monitoring functioning of equipment/ peripherals and make necessary modifications to ensure system operates in conformance with specifications.
