As a part of the Naava science team, my role is to plan and execute research, write scientific background, and become an expert in the field of green living and its effects to our health and well-being. I write scientific abstracts to our websites and am also the writer of Naava science blog, in which I aim to bring science behind Naava for everyone to.

I have been working in a research group where my project has been to study the relationships between genetic diversity and species diversity. My study species are Pygospio elegans, an annelid worm, and the benthic invertebrate macrofauna found in a Danish estuary close to the Baltic sea. In this project I learned basic genetic techniques, benthic.

During the internship, a knowledge of the museum collections, including the different species presented, was necessary. Customer service and guiding, handling money, and having a responsibility of the facility were part of the job. Internship also included digitization of moss samples.
