My special focus as a National Programme Manager is on providing operational management of the LinkCARE programme which includes managing staff and critical relationships with partners and other key stakeholders. I also ensure the achievement of program goals and outcomes, financial and program reporting, and ensuring compliance with all HHS/CDC and SA Partners LinkCARE programme contractual matters and rolling-out the programme nationally.The LinkCARE Programme is designed to provide technical assistance and support for the development and implementation of key aspects of HIV/AIDS care and support services in South Africa and to strengthen linkages, adherence and retention in care for people diagnosed with chronic conditions. Key responsibilities include;• Support the Principal Investigator with the liaison with the Department of Health and other project partners to implement the key aspects of the project;• Contribute to the development of annual strategies, work plans and continuation proposal, including drafting technical and administrative sections of documents and developing budgets;• Work closely with the PI to implement the project’s monitoring and evaluation strategies;• Supervise and mentor programme staff by providing clear strategic direction, input and feedback;• Provide administration oversight, including developing and tracking work plans monitoring and data collection and collation;• Manage the reconciling of all expenditure and financial activities;• Ensure that various internal and Funders' reports are submitted in a timely manner;• Represent the program as needed at provincial and national meetings;

My special focus is on providing integrated technical assistance on capacity building processes for Regional CSO and Government partners as well as Regional Institutions to be more programmatic, institutional and financially sustainable by strengthening their institutional systems for improved HIV/AIDS services delivery.In this position I have been responsible for three project portfolios; I.Technical Lead for Regional Civil Society Organizations Capacity Program: -Building the capacity of government and civil society entities in Southern Africa through their activities in Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia, and Swaziland and South Africa, to implement policies and programs that strengthen the systems for providing health services to people infected with and affected by HIV and AIDS. II.Technical Lead for Quality Improvement and Leadership Program:-Providing technical support to Botswana Ministry of Health as well as six regional health facilities to be able to improve on the quality of care provided; promote performance oriented culture, enhance service provision, and increasing access to health facilities by the clients through the achievement of international health standards.III.Technical Lead for SADC TB in the Mining Sector Program:-Providing technical assistance to SADC Secretariat’s Social/Human Development and Special Programs unit to finalize the draft Code of Conduct in the Mining Sector and ensuring that the Code undergoes critical stages of review and approval; and the milestones include review and approval by Member States Technical Working Group comprised of the private sector, mineworkers associations, government departments’ of Labour and Health, civil society organizational as well developmental partners; and even highest political SADC level approval which is the Council of Ministers

 Develop and implement a range of capacity development interventions to strengthen the organizational capacity of PEPFAR/USAID funded Non-profit Organizations within the HIV and AIDS; Treatment and OVC Support grants management program.  Coordinate organizational capacity assessments and capacity development planning, training/mentoring and developing/adapting training materials to address partners’ specific needs.  Grants management to ensure that grants are utilized appropriately and as per donor specification including financial reporting. Collect and analyse data to track the efficiency of the organizations in achievement of goals and provide regular feedback that helps organizations track costs, personnel, implementation time, organizational development, and economic and financial results.  Analyse the consequences, outcomes, and results of the organizational activities and provide feedback that helps organizations inform themselves and others (stakeholders, partners, donors, etc.) on the progress, problems, successes, and lessons of their program implementation. (Monitoring; Evaluation and Reporting). Conduct Corporate Governance training; Strategic Plan Facilitation and Development and other organizational development activities, which include Human Resource Management, Fundraising/Resource Mobilization, Sustainability Workshop for NGOs and CBOs, Social Enterprise Development training as well as Board Induction/Orientation.

 Design skills audit tools; conduct skills audit; develop capacity-building plans based on the needs of partner organisations;  Design capacity-building courses/curricula; conduct/ provide training/ courses / seminars to partner organisations;  Aligning learning material/manual to SAQA unit standards;  Facilitate accreditation process for learning programmes with relevant SETAs; Assess or moderate accredited training courses;  Prepare and submit requisitions for expenditure for capacity-building interventions as per approved budgets;  Evaluate capacity/skills building reports submitted by organisations to identify on-going needs and monitoring/ evaluating capacity-building interventions.  Conduct pre-course assessments prior to learner placement.  Liaise with relevant SETAs on Learning Programmes related issues.  Ensure that OVC and HIV/AIDS programme activities are coordinated through participation in regional/provincial task teams.  Report timeously (both oral and written) to all relevant stakeholders and submit monthly progress report to the departmental manager.  Co-ordinate and facilitate training of trainers, co-coordinators and other stakeholders.  Networking with CBO’s, NGO’s, government departments and service providers.  Interact with internal and external evaluators.  Collect and provide programme information for monitoring and evaluation purposes as required.  Monitoring and evaluation of training by contracted service providers. Assess funding proposals submitted to the Foundation by CBOs for approval; Monitor project/programme implementation in relation to budget expenditures; Facilitate the establishment of Child Care Forums,  Train and provide Psychosocial Support for Community Care Givers.  Assist the research department in conceptualization of research topics, design tools, data collection and analysis, report write-up and dissemination.
