As a trainee accountant, I was responsible for (but not limited to) the following:• Risk assessment and planning of the audits.• Leading a team in an audit engagement and review of audit work perfume by junior team members.• Preparing the audit budget and analysis of the variances resulting and recommending the corrective action.• Performance of the audit in accordance with ISAs and IFRS.• Statutory and Compliance (KING IV and Companies Act)• Audit conclusion• Going concern assessment. • Drafting reports to management, including the audit report.• Managing the relationship between the audit team and the clientAs a bookkeeper I was responsible for (But not limited to)• Recording invoices from suppliers and to customers• Monthly reconciliation of trade payables and receivables• Budgeting • Preparation of management accounts• Financial statements preparation• Responding to audit requests.• Banking and cash flow management• Submission of VAT , Income TAX and EMP201 returns.
