This position required me to seek out, obtain, and disburse rewarded grant funds, documentation for proposals, and oversight in managing the goals of the grants.• I was instrumental in the completion of the Data Driven District Dashboard Programme (DDD) and Gradesmatch by the inclusion of 1M learner data files, so the Dashboard had 11.5M of the 12M learner records captured in South Africa.• Regularly reviewed grantee financial statements and their proposed budgets so there was proper alignment in the scope and mission of the project.• Received recognition by the Director General of the National Department of Education as the flagship programme in South Africa that was supported by the Department.

• I developed key relationships with stakeholders at the Department of Basic Education (DBE) by promoting the benefits and embracing the ownership for the DDD.• I was a conduit between the DDD Provincial Managers, PEDs, and the DBE on various national activities whereby the DDD Programme was accepted at the highest level of decision making.• I identified situations for execution of DDD special projects and this data was used by the National DBE Monitoring and Evaluation unit in the design of interventions and programs in the areas of science, technology, English, and math.• DDD data was utilized by the Eastern Cape Province for those schools needing support for the National Senior Certificate that then moved the Province from last place to sixth of nine such Provinces in a two year period.
