I am a recent graduate of the University of Virginia with a Bachelors of Arts (BA) degree in Government and Women, Gender, and Sexuality. As a student of Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, I gained an intersectional understanding of the past and present issues that affect those marginalized based on gender identity and sexual orientation. In my Government courses, I framed these issues in their socio-political contexts to develop a practical comprehension of how identity and social status affect government policies and governing bodies. Through the synthesis of my majors, I worked to understand why inequalities exist and how to alleviate them through policy and action.Following my certificate in Business Fundamentals and my current role as a program assistant, I gained a passion for organizational behavior and accounting. I am a highly organized people-centered person who can focus on the details while still seeing the bigger picture. I aim to further develop my organizational management and accounting skills in future positions. My goal is to combine my diverse experiences to improve organizational culture and institutions.
