I am a software developer who has been a team leader for companies in retail, manufacturing and insurance. In each station I was able to bring prior experiences and blend them with the practices and cultures of a new organization, resulting in very beneficial experiences. I find that communication is a particular strength of mine. I am driven to provide my customers with the support that they need to maximize their productivity. I know I've done this when they say "Thank You" and perhaps even more significantly; when they seek me out for assistance the next time they have issues. I find that high-pressure, fast-paced situations bring out the best in me. Prior to entering the professional work force, I worked a summer as a ranch hand in Valentine Nebraska. I learned from that job that there is a great deal of personal reward to be had at the end of a hard day's work. The same can be said about getting to the end of a particularly difficult challenge in IT. While the work might not be physically tasking, the effort to get all the moving parts moving in the same direction can not be overstated. There is definitely a collective sense of reward with a successful team effort and a quenched fire.As with any IT professional, I enjoy the challenge of learning. New skills and new applications. I have always demonstrated an ability to quickly understand the complexities that come with enterprise level applications. I take great pride in being able to not only understand well enough to support, but to be able to contribute toward solutions faster than expected. This can only be accomplished by becoming a respected member of a team as a great deal of learning comes from one's peers.
