LaSalletech Solutions was a provider of IT consulting services to the financial industry. As Managing Partner for the service side of the business my responsibilities included building the appropriate infrastructure for sales, marketing, staffing, financial planning and technology. The software side of the business was acquired in January, 2015 resulting in the service side to be closed.

Active Lifestyle Technologies was a business that developed and marketed a website named “MakeMyPlay”. The idea was to bring people together based on their activity interests. Users of the website included the USTA, Northern Illinois University, various country clubs and real estate brokers. The concept was ahead of its time for social media and the tech bubble occurred giving a bad name to .com businesses resulting in the product being shelved for a later date. It is currently being resurrected as a social media app for mobile devices.

UQ Solutions was a provider of project and contract software development services for several Fortune 500 companies in the Chicago-land area. Services included project management, business analysis, software design, programming and technology assessment. As Managing Partner and co-founder it was my responsibility to oversee all aspects of the business including but not limited to operations, sales, marketing, financial, human resources, management and technology infrastructure. Responsible for negotiating a preferred vendor status with several Fortune 500 companies including Allstate Insurance, Motorola and Abbott Laboratories. Interacted with C-Level executives on many occasions. I also developed strategic partnerships with technology providers such as IBM, Hewlett-Packard, Oracle, and several other technology providers. With a staff of over 250 IT professionals and annual sales of over $30,000,000 UQS was ranked by Crain’s Magazine as one of the “Top 25 IT Consulting Companies” in Chicago. In 1999 the company was acquired by a publicly traded company for our strong and successful presence in the Chicago-land area.

During my tenure as Board Member for the NACCB it was my responsibility to represent the needs of the Chicago-land area Information Technology Consulting businesses. This included traveling to Washington D.C. meeting with Illinois Senators and Representatives to express our industry's legislative needs.

As an independent software consultant I took on several roles including project manager, software and database architect, business analyst, programmer and end-user liaison.
