In this Summer Undergraduate Research Project, I delved into the cutting-edge field of TinyML (Tiny Machine Learning) and harnessed the capabilities of Silicon Labs' microcontroller boards, specifically the EFR32MG24 and Thunderboard Sense 2. Through this project, I gained invaluable insights into machine learning, its challenges as well as the capabilities of microcontrollers. In this project, I successfully crafted a custom Machine Learning Model, leveraging my own dataset, to enable voice recognition for controlling lights through a Bluetooth scanner project. I accomplished this using industry-standard tools provided by SensiML's Data Capture Lab and implemented the solution within Simplicity Studio using C++.
