Sam is currently undertaking a masters degree in Finance, with the aspiration of becoming an investment analyst for a globally-renowned financial institution. Before beginning the pivot from civil engineering to professional investing, Sam had developed a passion for broadening his understanding of the macroeconomic landscape, recognising emerging yet transformational trends, and deploying an array of investment vehicles. He demonstrated competency throughout his 6 years in civil engineering; utilising first principles thinking to successfully supervise 12 flood risk mitigation infrastructure projects. The mindset of continuous reviewal and improvement of processes that Sam honed as an engineer has been transferred to how he approaches wealth management. He intends to integrate the skills learned over the coming academic year into his investment framework, as well as sharpening his articulation skills and developing friendships within the finance community.
