Here's the short version: I'm a freelance writer who helps B2B brands with content writing, content strategy, messaging, and SEO. Here's the long version: I started my career by spending the better of a decade in the marketing trenches at a VERY high-growth startup. As one of the first hires, I became that source of institutional knowledge who did a little bit of everything — and then got to work with and learn from the talented specialists we hired as the company grew. By the time I left the company, it was a billion-dollar unicorn, and I had gained incredibly valuable experience in content strategy, SEO, social, brand strategy, messaging and positioning — basically, everything under the marketing sun. And some fun bonus areas, like UX writing, information architecture, and content design.But my passion and area of focus has always been writing. So after a stint in B2B SaaS (cut short by covid-19), I moved to the freelance world. Now, I apply my years as a marketing generalist to help companies — typically martech and big data — build and execute content marketing strategies.I've also kept my soft spot for early-stage startups. I've cofounded AutoMate, an AI writing platform for vacation rental property managers, and frequently help founders with ghostwriting and thought leadership.When I'm not working, find me at the zoo, OMSI, the local playground, or anywhere else my toddler wants to visit that day.
