I am excited to join the Stone Group Architects (SGA) as new Division Director. Bringing the SGA’s vision to the club industry its philosophy and purpose - to positively impact people and place. The firm is dedicated to providing a client-focused approach to design through a culture of caring, compassion and understanding. Rooted in honesty, integrity and purposeful design, SGA is committed to building long-term relationships with clubs nationwide.

My role as EVP with Chambers’ is with the Club Planning Team. Responsible for strategic and facilities planning, and will provide counsel to the firm’s architectural and interior design teams, leveraging decades of experience in private club leadership and his operations expertise. It is also a ember of the Chambers’ Leadership Counsel, recently established to guide the firm’s continued progression toward a 360-approach to club design and evolution.

The Club Managers Association of America (CMAA) is the professional Association for managers of membership clubs. With close to 7,000 members across all classifications, our manager members run more than 3,000 country, golf, city, athletic, faculty, yacht, town and military clubs. The objectives of the Association are to promote and advance friendly relations among persons connected with the management of clubs and other associations of similar character; to encourage the education and advancement of its members; and to assist club officers and members, through their managers, to secure the utmost in efficient and successful operations.

Managed a traditional, private, non-equity family club, recognized in 2011 as a Platinum Club of America. Responsible for oversight of all club’s amenities, including 18-hole golf course designed by Seth Raynor, swimming pool with a diving well and kiddie pool, six Hard-Tru tennis courts, four paddle courts, and sub-trap and trap shooting.Led efforts to attract, negotiate and manage major USGA events as well as numerous Women’s US Open Qualifiers, 2012 WEST Penn Open, Champions Tour 2012 Constellation Senior Players Championship

Responsible for a $7.7 million operations budget and supervision of facilities including two 18-hole championship golf courses, a practice facility, Junior Olympic swimming pool, tennis facilities, and a 150,000 sq. ft. clubhouse offering casual, fine dining, and banquet services. Hosted Metropolitan Amateur Golf Association Open, 2009 USGA States Men’s Team Championship, and final qualifying round for the 2010 US Open, and numerous St. Louis District Men’s and Women’s events.Reporting to the Club President and the Board of Directors, supervised all departments within the club, which report directly to the COO.

Nakoma Golf Club is located on the west side of Madison, Wisconsin surrounded by the UW Arboretum. This 48,000 sq. foot clubhouse has an 18 hole golf course, 4 hard surface tennis courts, a 6-lane pool with a diving well, in addition to a full service snack bar. Nakoma is a traditional club that strives to meet the needs of its members by offering family programming while still catering to the demands of the business world. The club is a $3.9 million operation with a $1.4 million food and beverage operation, providing social events as well as a professional environment to conduct business. Worked with the Board of Directors to refocus and redevelop the vision and mission of Nakoma, creating a new club image. While developing a new strategic plan focusing on financial stability, capital repairs and improvements, along with membership programs to retain and attain new members..
