About Randy Dew
I am a Cybersecurity Expert with emphasis on architecture. Recently, I have 6+ years in IT duties that focused primarily on secure infrastructure and processes. After being an electronics guru as an early teen and through high school, I started my career in IT in the US Navy as a Data Systems "Display" expert, and have since specialized in many facets of the profession. I started my civilian life as a computer hardware technician. I programmed Rolm phone systems, then went on to work for Siemens Rolm Telecommunications as a programmer for a few years. Then I changed to focus on IT system administration. I moved on to Novell systems admin, then moved into desktop support and became Microsoft certified. I took on more and more customer facing duties, then went to work at an MSP providing all levels of support. Eventually I moved into field engineering and specialized on medical records and practice management systems for the healthcare industry and large healthcare practices and hospitals. I then took an interest in ERP solutions and helped a restaurant company implement SAP Business One while also running the IT Department. I evolved from there and became the SME Microsoft and team leader for a group of engineers in Devops in a large datacenter for the State of South Carolina. I brought forward the applicable cyber experience along and through multiple roles to current day. I became certified and held 20+ different certs over the years focusing on security and Microsoft infrastructure.
