Skye King is a German-Ukrainian immigrant to the United States who has continuously shown that determination crushes even the thickest walls. Growing up in foster care without a family was challenging, but she was not going to let my background limit my goals and aspirations. After moving into her first apartment at just 17 years old and graduating from high school, she decided to become a first-generation college student and move to the United States, completely on her own, because she wanted to change the narrative of my story.Despite her tough upbringing, she continues to overcome the challenges of being an immigrant to the United States, completely relying on myself in a foreign country. Hard work and placing a lot of importance on inclusivity, ambition, and empathy are her focus. She hopes to inspire as many individuals as possible with her motivation, encourage them to chase their dreams and help them to believe in themselves.
