Worked as a student employee starting in September 2019 where I worked doing basic culinary jobs like frying foods, making dishes, working in the back of house, and maintaining my concepts that I was placed in. In November of 2019 I was promoted to Student Leader where I led teams at my assigned concept at the dining court. This led to being trained at every position throughout the dining court. I coordinated students and made strategic placements of the student employees where they best fit per their abilities. I also trained employees that were new to their specific positions. I worked closely with cooks and managers to maintain the concepts and make sure that full potential was being reached. If a position was lacking, I made sure to fill that spot. In February of 2021 I began my transition from Student Leader to Office Assistant. With my adaptability and knowledge, I worked both positions until May of 2021 where I was fully transferred to Office Assistant. In this position, I created deposits for the previous day, each day. These included our credit transactions and taxes that are sent to Ohio University. I also conducted plate count at the end of each meal period to find the final number of students and guests that were served which also included our payment details and item sales summaries.During my time here, I have learned better communication, leadership skills, computer skills, and ethical skills that will greatly benefit my future.
