I am an outgoing, creative, and hardworking young women recently graduated with my bachelor's degree in anthropology from the University of Central Florida. I am passionate about public education and cultural conservation and would love to work in a museum one day. My father traveled a lot for work when I was young and as such, I was able to experience so many different places and cultures during my formative years. It was through these experiences where my love for history and culture began. No matter where I went, I had to visit at least one museum, it always felt important to me that I learn about the place I was visiting. I could lose myself for days in the halls of a good museum. As I move into my career, I hope to be able to foster a continued love for culture and history, not just in myself but in those around me as well. I have had extensive experience working with children since I was an early teen, beginning with volunteer work as a teacher's assistant at my school and junior camp counselor at the Orlando Science Center. Later working officially as an after-care counselor, childcare teacher, and camp counselor for the YMCA. I currently work as a science presenter for the Orlando Science Center in which I am furthering my skills in presentation, education, and public outreach within a science-based organization. I feel like my experience working with children has allowed me to develop immense skills in conflict management and resolution, planning and coordination, communication, and utilizing reflexive thinking. I hope to utilize my experience and skills to educate the public, improve my community, and continue to learn.
