As a former professional actor in Los Angeles and Europe with years of previous work experience in the service industry, Skyler Stuckey brings a distinctly client-focused mindset and unique perspective to every legal engagement. His work is centered on three focal practice areas: commercial litigation, white-collar matters, and appeals. He has achieved successful outcomes in a wide variety of commercial litigation matters in Texas state courts, federal courts, and foreign jurisdictions. With clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies, closely-held businesses and municipalities to banks, startups, and individuals, he has enjoyed the opportunity to take lead on cases with many challenging issues, including e-commerce development and technology, internet and new media, contract and partnership disputes, patent and trade dress disputes, and many more.His white-collar practice is primarily focused on using a highly collaborative approach to help businesses and individuals resolve investigations, civil enforcement actions, and criminal proceedings brought by various regulatory agencies, typically involving allegations of healthcare fraud, securities fraud, insider trading, pay-to-play schemes, and antitrust violations.Skyler also works closely with former Justice Jim Moseley, who leads the firm’s appellate practice group. In this role, Skyler provides support to the firm’s trial lawyers as needed, researching complex issues, ensuring the preservation of appealable error, drafting dispositive motions and appellate briefing, and assisting with or arguing appeals. Before joining the firm, Skyler served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Ken Molberg in the 95th District Court in Dallas and the Honorable Robert Junell in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas. While attending Texas Tech University Law School, he won a national moot court championship in entertainment law, which was argued before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
