Experienced HPC sysadmin and systems architect traversing diverse Enterprise and HPC data centers. My work tends to cover both ends of the wire, from compute to disk. A normal day might have me end-to-end debugging to root out performance bottlenecks. I generally specialize in the administration, design, benchmarking, and integration of highly distributed parallel filesystems where high bandwidth — or high IOP/s, and low latency are critical. I also routinely work with and integrate various NFS or Cloud based solutions. It’s not uncommon that I need to profile user applications for the best end filesystem and storage solution. My most enjoyable days are spent working with an end user to solve IO issues.
