• I developed the business case for this role in response to the rapid development of the Endocrine nurse-led service in the Trust which I initiated in 2004 in my role as clinical nurse specialist (CNS);
• I also developed successful business proposals for Endocrine CNS and Research Nurse posts, NHS and Commercially funded, to support the service expansion;
• I am running several condition-specific independent nurse-led clinics and developed evidence-based protocols to provide continuity of care and immediate access to care for patients with complex issues;
• I am involved in strategic decision making for service development in my Trust and work very closely with a number of stakeholders from different disciplines and settings;
• I developed several nurse-led services with a significant income generating activity and restructured the service delivery for high cost drugs to achieve annual cost reduction of almost £100K, which supported the.
• I am actively involved in teaching, mentorship and clinical supervision for students, junior doctors and nurses in the department and wider Trust;

• I was the first CNS in the department and developed a model care and internationally recognised nurse-led service. I was one of the first CNSs in Endocrinology in the UK to introduce nurse-led clinics, group education.

• To expand our network and collaborations with academic and research partners as part of my current role as the Deputy Lead for Nursing Research in Integrated Care at UCLH.

• I took on this part time role to develop my teaching and academic skills. I was involved in curriculum delivery and development and supervision of postgraduate and MSc students.
