I am a Speech Language Pathologist with a passion for early intervention and Autism. I started down this amazing path at UCLA's Autism Center in 2009. I contributed to and learned from a multi-disciplinary team, and collaborated daily with professionals of all therapy-related backgrounds, to best serve autistic children and their families. After seeing the *magic* of communication services for Autistic children, who were not yet speaking, I became an SLP. However, the magic faded once out in the "real world" where treatment could not be applied as ideally as it is when working within a research hospital at UCLA. I continued my own self-study to better understand how to help change the available treatment options for neurodivergent individuals. I started my own practice, Empowering Communication, LLC. A practice focused on a wholistic, neurodiversity affirming approach that supports children and their caregivers in finding a reliable means of communication, so that we may all learn who their true selves are.I am open to, and welcome, collaboration from other individuals who are seeking the same path. Individuals who want to break down the walls of society and build an environment for everyone to thrive in their own ways.As of January 2023, I am living in Florida and have *paused* in-person therapy practice at this time. I am looking for remote and virtual opportunities for both direct therapy as well as consultative work for therapists and families.
