Profile bio

About Stephanie Reed

I'm an old-school “webmaster” who advocates for standards-based and accessible web development. I’ve got a love for great UX - both in design and content. I've been working in the field since 2001, so I’ve pretty much seen it all, from the “browser wars”now to Claude AI, and I’m still here continuing to learn about this thing I’ve been told I’m an expert in every. single. day. My background and education consist of nearly equal parts psychology, web design/development, & professional writing. I enjoytackling the most difficult of UX challenges with a strong sense of empathy and an intuitive touch. My tenure in government has also led me to develop a strong background in WCAG & ADA Section 508 compliance. I believe the best websites can be used/seen/heard/understood by everyone. I have a strong passion for being at the forefront of emerging technologies and helped to bring social media, QR codes, & mobile applications to the table early on for state government in Tennessee. My web designs earned national awards in the digital government arena over a multiple-year period during my tenure there. I hope to push the envelope in a similar fashion for Nashville-Metro Davidson County. And yes, I do truly believe lightning can strike twice. Luckily, I work in the right spot for it (Nashville 911).

Listed skills include Web Design, Html 5, Css, Html, and 46 others.
