During my 26-years with the U.S. Air Force, I served in a wide range of operational and managerial positions within law enforcement, security, corrections, police administration, and basic military and technical training. Following my Air Force career, I worked for seven years with Helotes, Texas Police Department as Patrolman and Field Training Officer where I protected and served the community while training newly assigned officers for law enforcement duties. I then managed faculty and educated students enrolled in on-campus and distance learning programs as Criminal Justice Program Director and Business Program Instructor for three years with Career Point College, San Antonio. Most recently, I served as Employment Facilitator with Serco Inc., serving Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland and nearby military installations conducting Department of Labor Employment and Vocational Workshops for transitioning military service members, wounded warriors, and veterans. I'm truly honored to have been part of the Veterans Employment and Training Service Transition Assistance Program, preparing our military heroes for a successful transition from military to civilian life. Now that I'm fully retired, I can no longer use the excuse that I'm too busy to do the things I would love to do. There are many items on my bucket list, so I'm not worried about becoming bored. Along with my wife, Diana, who also recently retired, we'll travel the world, experiencing different cultures and making great memories. "Service" has always been an important part of our life, and we'll continue to set aside time serving others through volunteer and charitable activities.
