De Vereniging van Zorgaanbieders voor Zorgcommunicatie (VZVZ) is een vereniging van koepelorganisaties in de Nederlandse gezondheidszorg en van hun patiënten. VZVZ vervult drie kernfuncties. Ten eerste is VZVZ een kennis- en expertisecentrum voor interoperabiliteit. Ten tweede beheert VZVZ de ontwikkeling en uitvoering van afsprakenstelsels en generieke voorzieningen voor haar opdrachtgevers. Ten derde stelt VZVZ zich op als coördinator van netwerken van uitwisselingen zoals het Landelijk Schakelpunt (LSP). VZVZ zorgt ervoor dat het netwerk goed functioneert, in technische en in organisatorische zin. VZVZ verzorgt de regie over de uitwisselingsketen en toetst het systeem permanent op snelheid, betrouwbaarheid en veiligheid.Met het team risk en security beheert VZVZ de cyberbeveiligigsrisico's van verschillende voorzieningen die VZVZ aan haar leden biedt. Dit team bestaat uit 4 beveiligingsexperts en coach ik om de visie en doelstelling voor veilige en betrouwbare voorzieningen van VZVZ waar te maken.
