Sam Gao is currently the President of Minor Hotels JV Office in China, being responsible to Minor Hotels development strategy and operations in China, and apart from the world-class luxury brand Anantara, the other six well-known brand i.e. Avani Hotels and Resorts, Tivoli Hotels & Resorts, NH Collection and NH Hotels, nhow Hotel as well as Oaks Hotels & Apartments will also play their important roles in the blueprint of company future development in China.Prior to that, Sam had been the Head of Operations for North China in IHG, overseeing the operations of a cluster of 40 over full service hotels in the region, and he had been held the same position in IHG West China starting from 2018, and through his strong communications to drive team collaboration, provide operational support and assign team accountability for the delivery of superior financial return, guest experience, employee engagement and build strong owner relationhsip.From January 2016 till September 2018, Sam is General Manager of Hilton Qingdao Golden Beach, concurrently the Area General Manager of Hilton for Shandong, where he successfully led the hotel to a great success during his approximate three years tenure there, becoming one of top performers in Qingdao market.In 2015, Sam transferred to Crownw Plaza Jinan City Center as General Manager, and also change the area from Shandong to Northwest part of China with a cluster hotels covering Jinan, Xi'an, Lanzhou and Yinchuan.Sam was promoted to be as Area General Manager at the end of 2013 to oversee the operations of a cluster of 7 hotels in Shandong. Prior to the new assignment, Sam Gao worked in Holiday Inn Qingdao Parkview Qingdao as General Manager since January 2010 and since his appointment, the hotel has gone from strength to strength under his leadership.
