I am an independent, self-motivated, and passionate friend and coworker. I love the fine arts, but I also desire to work in the business environment. Thus, at this point in my life, I am a far cry from where I was when I started as a pre-pharmacy student back in 2012. Not long after I began my education in the sciences, I learned that the pharmaceutical field was not where I wanted to stay. I finished out my first semester, but after talking with a career coach and doing some thinking and some more thinking, I chose marketing with a minor in fine arts as my new educational pathway. I graduated in April of 2016 with my degree. I also worked (sometimes up to three jobs at a time) while attending UC as a full-time student. I volunteered in my free time on the weekends. One of the most influential positions I had was as an intern for a local band. This internship gave me the freedom to explore my creativity; I enjoyed the touring and the hands-on experience and the photographing and the connections that I made. I joined the band for two months on their spring 2013 tour that spanned the entire United States. I experimented with photography, capturing the scenery of the west coast and the road that led there in all its natural beauty.My role as an intern dwindled, and I had to look for work elsewhere. I began working at Kohl’s as a seasonal cashier. Since starting at Kohl's, I continued working on fostering my independence. I furthered my education, worked multiple jobs, tried new things, explored Cincinnati, bought my own car, and, finally, moved out on my own. I value my independence and feeling free, and I take this passion and desire and put it into everything I create and do.
