Working with teams Lilly to enable the use of advanced machine learning tools in a general, reusable, and dynamic manner. Using the latest tools from Amazon and Microsoft, I help to educate and assist groups within Lilly on how to successfully address their AI/ML use-cases in either a no-code, low-code, or fully-coded manner using Azure ML and AWS SageMaker primarily.

• Merck applied the developed topic modeling approach to health-focused social media posts (30k+ Docs) with the goal of better understanding patient experiences outside of a clinical environment.• Created the novel topic modeling method for text documents using particle swarm optimization (PSO).• Enabled a multi-hour decrease in runtime by using clustering, compared to current auto-encoder methods.• Produced a tangible qualitative improvement in topic identification compared to current topic modeling.• Developed a document processing pipeline for standardizing an unstructured collection of texts.• Utilized modern BERT-based vector embeddings for contextual natural language processing (NLP).• Developed novel metrics for identifying topic words and evaluating modern topic models.• Presented research to large audiences in conference settings and in regular updates to project sponsor.
