I independently performed highly complex work providing accounting, finance, and operational expertise to lead the department and direct a $7M annual budget. I conducted financial analysis, created reports, budgets, forecasts, etc. for departmental and university level leaders (i.e., Director, Associate Director Operations, Assistant Vice President, Finance and the EVP/COO Operating Officer of Temple University), providing guidance and playing a key role in the strategic decisions focused on the current and future operations of the team and implementing solutions that would generate revenue or reduce costs.• Led team to provide all customer facing/service activities and supporting administrative work (i.e., billing, purchasing, reconciliation of financial accounting, etc.).• Directed financial reporting and analysis, budget creation and forecasting, and generated a more accurate picture of direct and indirect expenses leveraging Cognos Reporting and an expertise in creating custom queries in Excel (vlookup, pivot tables, etc.) and modifying SQL expressions; increasing forecasting efficiency by 50%.• Developed, implemented and delivered (monthly) new financial statements and profitability reports for price modeling (e.g., utilization, occupancy, revenue collected and various expenses) along with detailed analysis, guidance and recommendations related to operational resources and growth objectives and introducing new KPIs that were used during the annual budget review and Middle States Annual Assessments.• Automated the audit process for over revenue generated by payroll deductions (over $1M) through a blend of custom queries and Excel tools, achieving a reduction of 1/3 in time required while reducing opportunity for human error.

I assisted the departmental Director by managing the day-to-day customer facing and required administrative operations for the department, including team leadership. I supervised and participated in the preparation of various budgets, financial statements, and reports; reconciled financial accounting and directed the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable/billing, revenue distribution, and operating expenses; establishing system controls for new financial systems and developing procedures to improve existing systems. I examined financial transactions to ensure compliance. I recommended and implemented projects that would improve operational effectiveness, generating revenue or reducing costs.• (In collaboration with HR) Designed and an online onboarding workflow to automate the current manual process for Adjunct Faculty, which reduced the time required to 24 hours and provided the ability to accurately account and track all associated costs.• Project Managed and championed a $2M implementation of the T2 system, including liaising with IT and facilities to arrange for hardware/device and software installation and transition, project planning, initial configuration, launch/change communications, team training, creating policies and procedures, etc.• Invested more than 210 hours into online learning in addition to attending various user conferences, becoming a T2 Super User; to ensure alignment to the needs of the organization to realize the full value the tool could offer and identify available data which could be reported on and analyzed.• Developed a procedure to leverage Crystal Reports to pull specific details from an Oracle database, which were then used to create G/L account reports that reduced the time required to reconcile daily revenue in half.

I supervised the University Parking Services Office at the Health Sciences Campus, overseeing all aspects of customer service and branch operations (i.e., processing daily deposits, payroll deductions, hardware and software acquisitions, training staff) and assisting in the financial reporting and analysis.• Monitored and assisted in monthly financial reporting and analysis; completed basic training required, including billing other departments through Access Databases and TUMarketplace as a tool to track and modify Purchase Orders, process invoices and resolve payment discrepancies.• Created reports each semester and annually detailing more than $800K in revenue generated through adjunct faculty transactions.
