As an intern, I analyzed the compressed air system to find possible reliability and cost savings solutions and had hot taps and flow meters installed in order to find volume of air used and efficiency. Using my analysis, I developed a scope of maintenance for the compressed air system that would save the company $57,000/year with a ROI in one year. I also aided in starting an operator driven reliability program aimed at decreasing rounds time by 10%.

Work included: procurement and installation of adapters and measurement sections, design review and procurement of material for next generation burner and flow revolver, design of testing fixtures using Auto CAD software, and the construction and calibration of load cell and bearing wear test.
