• Integrated Instructor Operator Station (IOS) for F-18E/F flight simulator. The IOS is used to program the behavior of the simulator to train pilots to handle emergency conditions. Worked on complex memory sharing technologies used for the IOS to program and monitor the simulator.• Optimized build processes using pmake for parallel builds to significantly reduce system build time.• Maintained battle field simulator used to train military leadership in large scale battle simulations.

Colorado Springs, Colorado Area

• Owned maintenance and enhancement of mission critical support system for US Air Force. System was built on obsolete/expensive platform. Worked proposal for porting the system to much cheaper PC platform including cost savings estimates and timelines. (Proposal implemented after I left.)• Ported standards based astronomic algorithms from PC environment to SGI system to replace less reliable “home grown” algorithms for Air Force.
