Villacorta Elementary School• Provided health care services to over 150 students by listening to concerns and making preliminary screenings for viral and bacterial infections• Ensured 500 students’ immunization records were up to date, according to California law, and informed parents of legal actions taken if student was not in compliance• Identified health concerns and provided appropriate first aid techniques such as wound care and stabilizing fractures for further medical professional evaluation• Discerned home or school conflicts affecting the emotional and psychological well-being of the student and adhered to proper channels for conflict resolution• Assisted nurses in visual and hearing screenings and administered medication, in extreme cases, such as anaphylactic shock and seizure when nurses were not present
