Oversee the daily operations of the Office of Licensing, the regulatory body of the NJ Department of Human Services. Comprised of five (5) regionally based supervisors and approximately thirty (30) inspectors, the Office of Licensing conducts over 2,000 inspections per year to assure community based agencies are in compliance with various sets of Standards and are assuring the health and safety of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and individuals with traumatic brain injuries.

Currently overseeing a team of inspectors that conduct inspections in various residential settings such as Community Care Residences, Group Homes, Supervised Apartments and Traumatic Brain Injury programs. Review, edit and approve routine inspection reports for approximately 400 residences throughout the state of New Jersey. Work with leadership from various provider agencies to ensure they are in compliance with three sets of Standards, N.J.A.C. 10:44A, 10:44B and 10:44C.

Investigator with the Office of Investigations. Conduct civil investigations regarding allegations of abuse, neglect and exploitation within the New Jersey Department of Human Services and the individuals it serves in various settings. Gather and review evidence, conduct interviews and complete investigation reports. Collaborate with supervisors and regional Chiefs regarding the investigatory process. Analyze documents and testimonies to determine if an allegation is able to be substantiated or unsubstantiated based on the preponderance of evidence obtained.

Maintain a case load of approximately 80 individuals in various residential settings.Complete quarterly visits to ensure all medications are being administered properly and proper spending of each consumer's money.Advocate for each consumer during annual service plan meetings as well as needed meetings during the year.Keep in contact with consumers and their families to ensure their happiness and satisfaction with services being provided for them.Work together with different units within DDD in regards to needs of consumers.
