A platform curating scholarship that explores place-based theory and practice, addressing the challenges and specificity of the Indian context.

Selected for the CEPT Archives Research Associateship Program (2023-24), I had the privilege of working as an archival researcher on the C. S. H. Jhabvala Collection at CEPT Archives, Ahmedabad. Guided by architect and educator Prof. Iftikhar Mulk Chishti, I delved into the works of Cyrus S. H. Jhabvala (1920-2014) – an artist, educator, and a partner at the renowned Delhi-based practice, Anand Aptay & Jhabvala.The archival collection, comprising over 400 projects completed across three decades, spans a variety of typologies and scales. This research involved a range of methods: interpreting archival drawings, studying the post-Independence history of Delhi, conducting semi-structured interviews, documenting built works across locations, extensive writing, and finally, designing a monograph that will soon be published by CEPT University Press.This project has been transformative, offering a unique opportunity to engage deeply with the architectural heritage of India while honing both my research and design skills.

As a part-time employee at Shilanyas, I was responsible for drafting the plans for a dining hall and the residential zone of a university campus. My primary focus was on optimizing the layout by rationalizing road networks, plinth levels, block placements, unit sizes, and fenestration. Additionally, I made minor design adjustments, all while working within tight time constraints. This role allowed me to sharpen my design and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment

Assisted Prof. Snehal Shah and Sunaina Shah in the History course for the Master’s in Architectural Design program at CEPT University.Course Title: Theory and Criticism – Modernism and Post-Modernism.This experience provided invaluable insights into the teaching process at CEPT. Through active participation in discussions with faculty, I gained a deeper understanding of both the broader curriculum and the design of specific exercises. Along with handling administrative duties, I also explored key theoretical developments in Modernism and Postmodernism from the latter half of the twentieth century. This role enhanced my understanding of architectural theory while giving me a firsthand experience in academic course delivery.
