Our journey since independence has brought us to question our sense of identity and the authenticity of the knowledge we produce. It has evoked the realization that the complexity and plurality of India cannot be genuinely interpreted through Western narratives and frameworks. Having identified gaps in academia, or 'voids' as we would like to call them, recent scholarship identifies the need to factor in local variants to develop frameworks that are more appropriate to understanding the Indian context by being sensitive to its historical, economical, ecological and social specificities. We bring to you exciting work by passionate individuals and organizations that address these voids by engaging in podcast and workshop series!
