As Director for Graduate Career Advising and Education in the Raymond A. Mason School of Business, I focus on developing and executing our career education strategy for graduate business students. I lead a fantastic team of career advisors who support our students at an individual level, helping them develop critical skills needed for successful career outcomes after William & Mary.As a member of leadership teams within the Mason school, I contribute to our school's strategic focus by building strong partnerships across departments to ensure career development is infused within the academic units and curriculum. I manage two career courses within the MBA and One-Year Masters programs, and design our curriculum to focus on key areas of professional development for our graduate business students.I collaborate and partner with key stakeholders internal and external to William & Mary, utilizing data to help drive strategic pipelines for employment, skill development, and additional professional opportunities. I focus on strategic communication to highlight the strong characteristics of William & Mary graduate business students, and enhance William & Mary's global brand. Internally for my team, I focus on creating a culture of excellence and compassion. Servant leadership is crucial to my approach - and finding every opportunity to showcase the dynamic talent that each member brings to the Graduate Career Management Center.

As a Career Advisor, I counseled students and alumni in one-on-one appointments on a wide array of career-related topics such as career/major exploration, interviewing skills and prep, job and internship searches, graduate school exploration, and more. I also interpreted students' results on the Strong Interest Inventory. The populations I specialized in included Liberal Arts and Sciences, University College, and the College of Business.As the Mock Interview Program Graduate Assistant, I managed a campus-wide program engaging faculty members and campus departments. In this role, I created custom virtual mock interview assignments for classes, honors programs, learning communities, and more. Throughout my time managing this program, I expanded program engagement from one business course to multiple colleges across campus through marketing, establishing connections, and restructuring.
