The SCC Highways Laboratory works in partnership with Amey via the Infrastructure+ Contract to deliver highways infrastructure and maintenance for Staffordshire. The Laboratory provides specialist materials testing and advice for the design of new roads/structures, investigation of existing pavements for repair or replacement, QC of works carried out by contractors and assist with the innovations being undertaken to provide better materials, less waste and more durable assets.

Responsible for the efficient running and continued growth of the Aftercare Services team. Ownership of the quoting/tendering process, project delivery and close out including commercial meetings, preparation of Construction Phase Plans and collation of the final file, training and mentoring of existing and new engineers, identifying new markets and emerging technologies. Reporting directly to the board of directors on the departments performance, anticipated performance and strategic planning.
