Assoc. Scientist - Enzyme Replacement Therapy (Tfa)
Explore novel antibody-enzyme conjugate therapies for central nervous system and target organ delivery and pain phenotype correction in lysosomal storage disease (LSD). • Independently developed protocols for LSD mouse models, downstream enzymatic activity, and neuron-specific immunofluorescence staining to assess biodistribution and internalization of enzyme delivery in brain and peripheral mouse tissues.• Participated in an internal company Poster Day that aimed to allow colleagues from different departments to gain insight on other groups’ projects.Investigated the therapeutic potential of retargeted antibodies for delivery and internalization of lysosomal enzymes in the brain of Pompe Disease (PD) mouse models.• Designed several experiments to validate blood brain barrier crossing of retargeted antibodies both in in vitro and PD mouse models.• Presented to department leadership to discuss opportunities for applying findings to therapeutics lacking blood-brain barrier-crossing capabilities. • Attended WORLD Symposium conference on lysosomal storage diseases.Investigated effects of immunomodulatory antibody functionality on anti-drug antibody (ADA) generation in PD mouse models, using direct ELISAs, to assess potential to redose novel ERT.
