I worked with the Grocery Forecasting team on their scientific model used to estimate customer demand. I worked with other engineers and stakeholders utilizing the model to build a solution that would help our stakeholders understand the intermediary variables involved in the customer demand estimation calculation and factors contributing to its behavior across time. I learned what it meant to take ownership of your software and wore every hat in the Software Development Life Cycle - from creating a design document, speaking with stakeholders, writing code, unit testing code changes, validating data, and pushing many code changes to production. My project is now in production and will be utilized and expanded by our team.
