The Girls in Science 4 SDGs International Platform is a Global Program of the Royal Academy of Science International Trust (RASIT) launched at the United Nations Headquarters by RASIT’s Executive Director, HRH Princess Dr Nisreen El-Hashemite, in 2018 in close collaboration with Mission of Portugal to the United Nations, to achieve equity in science and empower girls in science as Today’s leaders for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).Roles and Responsibilities:-Delivering a speech at the United Nations 6th International Day of Women & Girls in Science on the “Leading Courageously in Response to COVID-19 pandemic panel” about how women are leading the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.-Co-authoring a chapter in the Royal Academy of Science International Trust’s February 11th book about the importance of investing in our public health systems. -Co-authoring an executive summary for the UN President of the General Assembly on the 6th International Day of Women & Girls in Science. -Executive editor of the Beyond magazine. -Acting as a peer mentor to younger girls in the platform to guide their careers in science.-Contributing articles to the Girls4SDGs website.-Overseeing and aiding the development of new initiative proposals.

UCL Fight the Fakes is the first academic branch of the Fight the Fakes Alliance and aims to battle against fake medicines by raising awareness of the dangers of counterfeits, with the goal of putting fake medicines on the global agenda.Roles and Responsibilities:-Organised and led the media and communications strategies for the Fight the Fakes ‘Digital Natives Fight Fake Medicines’ event at the 72nd World Health Assembly in Geneva, which trended at no.1 on twitter in Switzerland. (May 2019)-Attended the United Nations and participated in the 72nd World Health Assembly as a member of the UCL FTF delegation. -Collecting and analysing media coverage on SF medicines, monitoring health policy, development of new project proposals, writing concept notes for events, writing and distributing newsletters, filming, and editing promotional videos, and regular creation of advocacy material.-Managing a team of 40 students and delegating tasks to ensure deadlines are met. -Organising the annual ‘Fight the Fakes’ week by liaising with speakers, creating promotional content, providing media coverage, and working in partnership with over 30 global partners.-Collaborating with organisations such as the International Pharmaceutical Students Federation (IPSF) to create educational media content and raise awareness about the dangers of substandard and falsified medicines.-Delivering a youth statement at The International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers & Associations (IFPMA)/ Novartis webinar event about ‘Eliminating Falsified Medicines in Africa; how legislative frameworks can help” for World Anti-Counterfeit Day (June 202)-Organising, moderating, and participating in a series of online live events about the COVID19 pandemic in regard to Substandard and Falsified medicines, with professionals from organisations such as UNODC, World Heart Federation, and FIP.

Roles and Responsibilities:-Conducting research on the global shortages of PPE during the COVID-19 pandemic and the interventions required to meet the demand. -Managing the public visibility of the SfGH Covid19 response via media coverage on multiple platforms, working under the Access2Meds Stream.-Creation on student-friendly, informative resources that analyse, evaluate, and review current affairs.

The International Security and Conflict Analysis Network (iSCAN) provides analysis and practice-oriented training on the world’s most pressing international security challenges, and supports individuals and organisations to contribute to the promotion of peace and security and peaceful conflict resolution. Roles and Responsibilities: -Undertaking conflict resilience training, to become a peace enabler for modern crisis response. This also included conflict management concepts, conflict profiling, conflict analysis tools, conflict dynamics and intervention planning. From this I received a 'Solve' certificate of successful completion. -Liaising with an international communications team to aid the launch of the SOLVE initiative which aims to create a world in which the youth may live free from violent conflicts. I contributed to the initiative's action plan and the methods of practical implementation, to ensure that peace and security is achieved via the active engagement of youth in conflict-impacted regions and are placed at the forefront of crisis prevention. -Worked on the digital marketing strategy for the event and the creation of outreach content for social media platforms to advertise and generate a wider interaction.-Writing a blog post on the relationship between international security issues and global health, titled 'How the Syrian civil war has led to the destruction of its healthcare system.'
