I am a first-generation Hispanic-American from Richmond, Virginia. Throughout my time at the Governor's Health Science Academy at Cosby High school, I was Captain of the Speech & Debate Public Forum team as well as Founder and President of Cosby's Latino Student Association. Now that I have graduated, I am a first-generation freshman at George Mason University studying Government and International Affairs at the university's Schar School of Policy and Government. Additionally, despite being a fairly new member of the student body I have already established myself as a Student Government Senator. Although I have only been in Fairfax for a short span of time, I have accepted an internship under Congressman Gerry Connolly to work his campaign. Furthermore, I have also been hired by Fairfax County Public Schools to be an AVID tutor for middle and high school students. Through the various opportunities I have had the privilege in partaking in, I have gained extensive insight on customer and constituent services. I have also acquired a proficiency in typing and filing digital data on both Microsoft and Google Drive softwares. Some of my other aptitudes include intermediate Spanish, leadership, organizational skills, interpersonal communication, phone banking, reading and comprehension, and cash handling.
